How to Buy $GLC

A step-by-step guide to buying $GLC on Solana — from setting up your first wallet to completing your first purchase on Pump.fun. Takes about 15 minutes if you're starting from scratch.

What you need

Step 1 — Install Phantom wallet

Phantom is the most popular Solana wallet. It's available as a browser extension (Chrome, Firefox, Brave, Edge) and as a mobile app (iOS and Android).

  1. Go to phantom.app and click Download
  2. Install the browser extension or mobile app
  3. Click Create a new wallet
  4. Write down your Secret Recovery Phrase — this is 12 random words. Store it somewhere physically safe and never share it with anyone, ever. Whoever has this phrase controls your wallet.
  5. Set a password for the Phantom app itself (this is separate from your recovery phrase)
  6. Your wallet is created. You'll see your Solana address — a long string of letters and numbers.

Security note: Galactico will never ask for your recovery phrase. No legitimate project ever will. Anyone asking for it is attempting to steal your wallet.

Step 2 — Get SOL

You need SOL (Solana's native currency) to buy $GLC and to pay for transaction fees (which are very low on Solana — typically less than $0.01 per transaction).

Option A — Buy SOL on an exchange: Purchase SOL on any major exchange (Coinbase, Binance, Kraken, etc.), then withdraw it to your Phantom wallet address. Copy your Phantom address from the Phantom app and use it as the withdrawal destination.

Option B — Buy SOL directly in Phantom: Phantom has a built-in on-ramp where you can buy SOL with a credit/debit card or bank transfer. Click the Buy button in Phantom. Fees vary by provider but it's the most direct path.

How much SOL? Buy however much $GLC you want to purchase, plus a small buffer for transaction fees (0.01 SOL is more than enough for fees). SOL prices fluctuate — check the current price before buying.

Step 3 — Find $GLC on Pump.fun

  1. Go to https://pump.fun/coin/J5SgJZrLKnR9tgRnvfQNSyMW14cBi6H3qwBtqhBupump (the official $GLC page on Pump.fun)
  2. Verify the mint address matches the official contract: J5SgJZrLKnR9tgRnvfQNSyMW14cBi6H3qwBtqhBupump

Important: always verify the contract address against the official Galactico site or this wiki before buying. Token names can be faked — the contract address cannot.

Step 4 — Connect your wallet

  1. On the Pump.fun $GLC page, click Connect Wallet
  2. Select Phantom from the wallet options
  3. Phantom will ask you to approve the connection — click Connect
  4. Your wallet address will appear in the top right of the screen

Step 5 — Buy $GLC

  1. Enter the amount of SOL you want to spend in the buy field
  2. The interface shows you how many $GLC tokens you'll receive at the current price
  3. Check the price and the amount — if it looks right, click Buy
  4. Phantom opens a transaction approval popup showing the exact SOL amount and fees
  5. Click Confirm in Phantom
  6. The transaction processes in seconds. Your $GLC tokens appear in your Phantom wallet.

After buying — verify your tokens

In Phantom, go to your tokens list. You should see $GLC listed with your balance. If it doesn't appear automatically, you may need to add it manually:

  1. In Phantom, click Manage token list
  2. Search for GLC or paste the mint address: J5SgJZrLKnR9tgRnvfQNSyMW14cBi6H3qwBtqhBupump
  3. Enable it — your balance will appear

Trading on PumpSwap

Once $GLC has graduated from Pump.fun's bonding curve, it trades on PumpSwap. The process is identical — connect Phantom, find the $GLC pair, swap SOL for $GLC.
